Oliver Ames High School
Announcements

New Assistant Principal

Dear Oliver Ames Families,

It is my pleasure to announce that after an extensive search with a committee of faculty, students, and parents, we have identified Daniel Mastrogiacomo as the new assistant principal of Oliver Ames starting July 1, 2022.  Mr. Mastrogiacomo is currently the assistant principal at Hull High School and was previously a Math teacher at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Throughout the interview process, Mr. Mastrogiacomo demonstrated a strong understanding of how to create a safe and respectful school culture, effectively support students and families, and collaborate with faculty and staff. We are excited to have him join the OA family!

I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to Mrs. Cathy Queally as she retires this June. She has made a lasting impact on the Oliver Ames community and we wish her all the best in retirement.

Sincerely,

Kelly Cavanaugh

Dear Oliver Ames Community,

It is with great enthusiasm that I share with you that Ryan Gordy has been named the next athletic director of OAHS.  Mr. Gordy has served as the K-12 Wellness Coordinator for the Canton Public Schools since 2016 and as the Assistant Athletic Director for the 2021-2022 school year. He is a former varsity basketball coach and was the MIAA Wellness Coordinator of the Year in 2019.

Mr. Gordy is excited to become a Tiger and is looking forward to getting to know the community as he transitions into this role on July 1, 2022.

I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to the search committee for their time and commitment to this process. They did outstanding work during this extensive process to identify qualified candidates, conduct interviews, and name finalists.

Finally, I want to congratulate Bill Matthews on his successful 9 years as AD at Oliver Ames. We wish him all the best in his upcoming retirement.

Go Tigers!
