Our curriculum is designed to be fun and promote learning in all areas. It includes:
Second Steps- A program that helps to identify and manage feelings, helps to make friendships, and helps to solve problems through brain builder games, songs and puppetry.
Social Thinking- A program developed to improve interactive skills between people through practice of social thinking and social learning.
D.E.A.L.- Daily classroom time when we drop everything and listen to a story
Common Core- Massachusetts Frameworks focusing on reading, writing, listening, speaking, viewing, science, technology, engineering, art and math.
Handwriting Without Tears- We are using a fun, hands-on school readiness program in our class this year. Handwriting Without Tears is an award-winning Pre-K curriculum that focuses on playful learning to develop coloring, drawing, counting, building and handwriting readiness skills.
Everyday Mathematics- A comprehensive math program that spirals though basic facts, computations, problem solving and more.
