The National Honor Society was established in 1921 to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS honors students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership,Service, and Character. Membership is by invitation. Students in their first semester of their junior and senior years are sent a letter from the NHS advisers with an invitation to apply for membership. The Selection Process involves completing the Candidate Form for Service, and a Leadership Form which will be distributed at the first meeting in September. Important Dates for National Honor Society 2016/2017 School Year
September 2nd - Letters are sent home to candidates
September 13th - First meeting with the candidates
October 14th - Paperwork is due
October 25th - Faculty Council meets
October 28th - Letters are sent home congratulating the new inductees
November 17th - Induction ceremony
